Tokyo Condo’s Are Too Expensive, This Shark Is A Hero. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tokyo Shark Saga 2025 from Rakumachi is a generative AI series that is best likened to a short film trilogy. It’s time to address the issues of the style of film making that’s currently popular and labelled as AI generated. Up until the Tokyo Shark Saga I have avoided this lazy, artless media that has saturated the short movie space and bloated it with poor storytelling and endless meme like punchlines.Yes you can make fantastic looking shark encounters and yes it opens it up to all creatives, but right now it’s the monetising click bait fraternity with little imagination that are vomiting up a host of turgid examples. So in summary looks good in most cases but without good storytelling context it is bland and easily dismissed.

Tokyo Shark Saga 2025 changes this. To begin with it has intent. Surprisingly that intent comes in the unlikely  form of Japanese real estate messaging. Originally a three part episode marketing experiment, it has now been released as a movie on Utube. As a vehicle to understand the plight of Tokyo real estate its message is clear. As an enjoyable comedic advertisement Its a blend of pure sharksploitation with the whole superhero, kaiju and eastern cult martial arts epics all rolled into one. I view this as not only as advertisement and in one instance a product placement, but as a homage. I spotted two nods to the Polonia brothers and two nods to Jaws instantly.

It’s got me thinking that just maybe computer based machine learning is evolving along a useful path. If it’s put in the right hands. Human hands that is. If you ever wondered about Tokyo real estate this is a fine primer and contains a wonderful example of the shark growl.
