 Raging Sharks 2005 is a movie written by Les Weldon. Les wrote and produced Sharks in Venice 2008. Raging Sharks should then be viewed as his Sharksploitation high point. The director, Danny Lerner however having directed Shark Attack 2 & 3 in 2000 and 2002 and also Shark Zone 2003 is the seasoned guy you want in this B movie genre and with this budget. Corin Nemec stars but his big moment is still six years away (Sand Sharks 2011), his method acting buoys up the same sort of delivery from the rest of the cast.They are helped however by a good borrowed story (The Sphere 1998).That aside it has tight plotting in a well thought out script. The shark attacks are fast and furious and exciting enough even though a lot of it is stock Great White footage. This is supplemented by the rubber shark fin and head. The Shark growl is in the top ten of the all time greats ( For more on the growl refer to seperate shark bites post). Excitement and tension is well handled throughout this production with enough to keep you on the edge of your seat. I have seen this movie twice and given enough separation of time would watch it again.
