This Rounds On Me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Beast Of War 2025 is an Australian survival horror movie. This movie joins the A list of other outstanding Australian sharksploitation movies. Its themes of mate ship, ANZAC spirit and the Australian larakin character shine throughout. Complete with the Australian flag and a brief discussion of Australian beer brands you just can’t get anymore more nationalistic. Its plot is although not unique, a visually refreshing take on those war movies inspired or loosely based on true stories. It’s compelling with a well paced script and with clearly defined character acting. The ocean scene setting is unique in its eerily backlit murkiness. It evokes a sort of fog of war if you will. The shark presence ramps the tension to breaking point at times. This is due in part to the welcome return of creature Animatronics. In addition I found it helped with the immersion and creates a supernatural Shark that looks most demonic when aided by the set lighting. Sharksploitation fans will love this Shark. The production is gore soaked and the waters are well and truly chummed. The broken siren incidental music jars and dominates and at times is in risk of taking you out of the moment. The only other minor niggle of note was the appearance of a human adversary in a scene that felt kind of tagged on and superfluous to the momentous build of tension the script had already served up. This is a must see for Sharksploitation fans.
Other pacific theatre wartime sharks of note occur in, Against The Sun 2014, USS Indianapolis, Men Of Courage 2016,
