John, John, The Shark Is Gone ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

 Sharks In Prague 2025 is a movie directed by Lukas Vokoun. I guess this titled sharksploitation premise is going to become very popular in Europe. Particularly as it follows on the heels of the successful Under Paris 2024 in which the River Seine was terrorised. Now you can experience the terror in and around the river Vltava. Given Europes extensive waterways we can surely brace for more river sharks. I can think of a few I’d like to see. How about, Death from the Danube ( substitute Don or Dnieper) or Rogue in the Rhone and my personal favourite Eaten on the Elbe. I digress, what we have here is a well shot, nicely paced Shark fan movie. It harks back to those outlandish land shark movies of the previous decade. Having said that the Land Shark trope still doesn’t appear to have really gone away as evidenced by Land Shark 2020 from China and Mountain Shark 2024 and Bikini Shark 2025. Sharksploitation fans will get this movie, but for the casual uninvested viewer there’s going to be some issues. First of all it’s high in concept but low in pure shark action. Secondly the acting. The delivery of the lines is slow but because of this the ideas and concepts and some great one liners are easy to absorb. The shark rendering is nothing special but I did not find this impinged on the whole production as this movie is character driven. What is of note though is the shark growl. This time it’s a full on velociraptor strength roar. A likeable enough 80 minute movie whose strength lies in its story's ability to drag you in early and keep you engaged.
