Against The Sun 2014 is an American Film Company movie. It is based on a true story about surviving  adrift in the vastness of the pacific in wartime. It does not qualify as true sharksplotation but is worth watching for its handling of a lot of the themes that occur timelessly within the genre. In addition it’s a good survival story and a sobering reminder of where our base fears and thrills come from. The sharks are not on screen very long but they still make a strong and lasting impression.
