I Need An Infected Brain, Intact ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Zombie  Shark 2015 (sometimes referenced as Shark Island) is a Sy Fy channel movie. It was an inevitable cross pairing with the zombie genre. A genre that had already seen its heyday between 2002 and 2012. We are lucky then as there is probably no better company to bring this cross genre pairing to life (should that be afterlife) than the SyFy channel. They work this end of the monster spectrum so well. I do love a silly shark movie and this one’s script ticks a lot of the genre’s boxes. If you enjoyed the same period silly shark movies such as Avalanche Sharks 2014 or Ghost Shark 2013 then you will enjoy this. It shares a ludicrous premise, high gory body count (but in this instance a low bikini count) with some much needed comedic moments, these come wrapped in some unique shark attacks. The upshot of all this is that you can readily engage with the characters whilst forgiving the sometimes sub par shark CGI renderings. Conversely the acting and reacting is quite good if a little over dramatic. The soundtrack doesn’t help with this as it’s a dramatic soundtrack more at home in a big budget action drama than a low budget shark shlocker. However, a guilty pleasure that was still fun on a repeat watch. Zombie Shark 2 should happen ? Even if it only exists on my Wishlist.

If you enjoy a ludicrous SyFy channel shark offering then there is much to recommend Sand Shark 2011 and Ghost Shark 2013 and the incomparable Avalanche Sharks 2014. In addition Toxic Shark 2017 deals with zombies similarly. Just highlighting a few more guilty pleasures here. If you ever wondered what a Zombie attacking a shark would look like then watch Zombie Flesh Eaters 1979. Although with real sharks it’s quite off putting, but I am pandering to the completist here.
