Tell Me That Frenzy Is Not As Bad As It Sounds. ⭐️⭐️

Deep Blue Sea 2  2018 is a movie that for me  posits the idea, when is a sequel not a sequel but a reboot. If it’s a  true sequel then why offer so little that is new. You get the same pacing as its predecessor, but with less tension. I  also found very little to like about the protagonists. This I think is because of the need for polarisation in the corporate rogues v scientific benevolence theme. If this on the other hand is labelled as a reboot then the sameness would be comforting but Id want some new wow aspects. In this light, The Antagonists, have the added feature of not only being intelligent but they can communicate amongst themselves. Unfortunately this is just underplayed in favour of frenzy and ferocity.  The corridor lighting is just annoying, red for red alert I get but green, blue, yellow environments are just plain annoying. It does have some great cinematic moments and I did feel that the antagonists were able to deal out proportional justice to the bad guys. I also liked the nod in the direction of low budget sharksploitation with its ending. Sequel or reboot, either way a tad underwhelming.
