 Megalodon Frenzy 2023 ls an Asylum movie. Now Megalodons battling it out with the Navy is not a new thing. We had a Meg attack a US navel ship and a Russian submarine back in 2021 in Megalodon Rising ( that incident gets referenced in this movie) and The US Navy saved the day back in 2010 in Mega Shark v Crocosaurus and of course the Russians lost a sub in Megalodon 2010. Must be all that electromagnetic and cavitation energy pulsing out into the  ocean that attracts them. It seems the majority of shipping attacked is American. I guess the Russians have started using the stealthy catarpiller drive from the movie The Hunt For Red October. But that was back in 1990 and the Russians were still losing subs to mega shark activity as late as 2010? Anyway, I digress, the implausibility of this movie is very high even to the rabid sharksploitation fan but it is offset by spectacle. Seems the CGI team handling this one were in tune with the production teams vision. The Megalodon snacking on the civilian population along the west coast of America is a treat. However that is just about the highlight of this movie.The cast are flat in performance and dialogue delivery. Just like Meg 2 it doesn’t matter how many Megalodon’s you add to a movie there is no substitute for a screenplay with a coherent well executed plot.
