Great Work Is Always Dangerous.
Jurassic Shark 2 Aquapocalypse 2021 is a Mark Polonia movie. When I first saw this movie 2 years ago I had to seperate my dismal opinion of it by time to ensure that it just wasn’t the mood I was in. Now on a rewatch, it all became terribly clear my opinions were right first time. Let’s say something nice to start with. The ubiquitous Mark Polonia rubber shark fin is used throughout and we are asked to believe it belongs to a Megalodon for this sequel. Like its predecessor this second outing has a very high bikini count. Why Mark Polonia made this movie for any other reason I can’t fathom. The plot uses so many well established and done to death tropes it’s just boring. There is no acting taking place and the dialogue is delivered tone less. I was expecting it to be at least ironic but even that wasn’t happening. So for any sharksploitation fan the shark attacks might just give them something to cheer about, not even that though for me. We are given an arthritic moving and laryngitis scowling cgi shark. It does have a few funny moments but only in a cringey sort of way. It’s not as bad as Shark Huntress ( to date nothing can be that bad) but it is certainly chumming the same waters.
