Beacon 7, I know Where It Is. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐

Under Paris 2024 is a Netflix movie. It’s a French production with a sizeable budget, approximately 20 mil euros, for what is in all essence a trope laden sharksploitation movie. But consider the Meg franchise budgets which were much bigger, they failed to achieve anything near gripping as this movie has. It is good news for the serial shark fan (the lead shark has a name and is a Mako variant to boot) as they spend their budget wisely. The story also contains some new to the genre premises. The prime being the negative impact of shark activism and secondly a new handling of shark morphology. They are really trying to do something different here and at the same time showing they are no strangers to the sharksploitation genre. The shark scenes tension is built up slowly throughout with a few well-timed punctuations climaxing in act 3. Action and tension are the watchword here, enough for you to gloss over the unlikeness of the situations and motivations. I think the French have successfully put us on notice with this genre entry, although I have yet to see Frances other entry to the genre, Year Of The Shark 2022'. If it's as good as this then there will be much rejoicing within the fandom.

This is not the first time a shark has appeared in the river Seine in a movie. This honour falls to Laurel And Hardys The Flying Deuces 1930. However this appearance is confined only to a very dubious looking shark fin and pressurised air tank.
