It Looks Like Someone Didn't Read The Confidential Memorandum. ⭐⭐

Snow Shark (Ancient Snow Beast) 2011is a Sharksploitation movie that I have turned down a DVD copy of on Ebay nearly a decade ago. The seller wanted a ridiculous amount for a Region 4 (or was it region 0) DVD citing that it was a rare copy. There is no such thing as a rare DVD, they are cheap to make, and the distributors demand large numbers to shift in the limited commercial life of these movies, particularly given that a large percentage are straight to DVD. I get the last laugh though as it finally turned up on Utube this month.

I saw Avalanche Sharks 2014 first and Ice Sharks 2016 so this one completes the trio of the last decades red snow movies. I also got to thinking we may need to start grading bad acting. These early examples have over emphasis of dialogue whilst the modern acting has flat dialogue. I think I prefer the overacting to the flat delivery. OMG, I think we may be entering an era of sharksploitation acting stratification. I no longer think that acting ability is tied to budget, this one was made for about 7k.

I digress. Snow Shark is in that so bad its good category. You will be entertained by it’s serviceable plot, comedic characters and particularly if you like your horror as a blood splattered gore fest. Of note is that the shark has the deepest bass growl in sharksploitation to date. It's not technically perfect but it is fun, another guilty pleasure. Strangely enough I still can't find a region 0 or Region 4 copy, but I can wait now that I've seen the movie.
