Don't Believe Everything You See.
Deep Blood 1989 is an Italian movie that had a great plot idea, a mystical brotherhood with a mission vibe. However, it degenerates into a lackluster drama with some major overacting (and not the lovable kind) anchored by a prominent annoying soundtrack. This movie has not aged well both literally and figuratively. The only copy I could stream was unrestored and looked overly recopied. The few attacks chummed the water with orange blood. I looked it up, orange blood is rare but to have three attacks with orange blood why, what are the odds that every victim had way too much Carnitine in the blood stream. I mean quaternary biosynthesised ammonium compounds reacting that way, ohh come on near impossible right? Mind you it could just have easily been due to my washed out recopy. I digress way too easily.
One thing to note though, all three of the internationally acknowledged great Italian sharksploitation movies (see also Cruel Jaws and The Last Shark) have scenes with Helicopters. In fact, Cruel Jaws 1995 reuses helicopter scenes and Hollie the dog for this movie.
Unfortunately, that's all I got out of this movie.
