Wake Up The Big Girl, It’s Feeding Time. ⭐⭐️⭐️

 Shark Night 2011 is replete with 5 different sharks and name checks at least three others. Add some extreme bad guys and you are just rooting for same to be attacked with extreme prejudice. The plot is a fairly typical horror college retreat goes pear shape, but it doesn’t skimp on the action. All this is helped along by some good cinematography. CGI is used to enhance some outstanding Animatronics. I do recommend getting hold of the DVD (also available in 3D?) if you can as the special features are very worthwhile. I see on the biggest of the film blogs that this movie did not rate that highly. I guess the critics were either watching the wrong movie or not nodding in the direction of sharksploitation fans. I say this because it made 41.4 m at the box office off a purported 28 m budget. So, who is laughing now.

Bonus points if you spotted the homage to Jaws.
