Kyle, Heather And Bully Have A Bad Day. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
With Bait 2012 we confirm what most sharksploitation fans already knew. Australians know how to make shark movies, just take the Reef and 47 Metres Down as prime examples. However what Australians are new to is putting the action in exotic locations. No not Mexico but in this case a supermarket. The sets and lighting are excellent, and the tension and horror of the situation is made immediate and claustrophobic. The cast ably plays out the trauma in a humanistic fashion against this unusual backdrop. No spoilers but there are innovative ideas in this movie that I am yet to see attempted in any sharksploitation movie. So much so that I can ignore the unrealistic bits. This has to be the new benchmark for sharks in supermarkets. Great entertainment that can be chalked up for repeated viewing.
