In 47 Metres Down fear of the unknown is at the fore and accentuated by a nerve grating soundtrack loaded with naturalist audio. In fact, the whole movie revolves around this fear and is so compelling for this focus. The underwater footage is outstanding in as much as it captures the wonder as well as the tension. The transition of the light to darkness puts you into that primal fear mode you didn't think you had. The sharks are just magnificent. It’s edge of the seat stuff even on a repeat watch.
