Full Moon Bay Has Its Population Culled ⭐

Shark Swarm 2008 is a made for TV over long movie (just over 3 hours). At its centre is a family that’s dynamics would better suit a little house on the prairie episode. Hardly the heroic team needed to help a community beset by toxin induced shark aggression. My enjoyment was diminished as the pace slowed from its frequent jumping to and fro of the many character perspectives. It’s a basic yet serviceable corruption plot with some tagged on environmental messaging. That aside the shark attacks look good if a little repetitive. The swarm does a good job of getting their victims into the water which is always a welcome trope for sharksploitation fans. The sickly-sweet over sentimentality of the familial lead characters had me more tensed up than the shark attacks, so that was new. For the original on shark swarming and coordinated attacks check out Dark Waters from 2003. If you find yourself developing a taste for shark swarming there’s Jersey Shore Shark Attack 2012 and as a desperate unhinged completest Sharknado's 2013 to 2018.
